Bangalore December 01, 2023: More than 150,000 children in India are born with Congenital Heart Disease annually. Only around 5000 manage to get treatment with some financial aid.

Rotary Bangalore MidTown GenNext, a dynamic young Rotary club in the city was honoured to host an impressive Fund Raising event on the 29th of November, 2023 at The Taj, MG Road, in support of a 100 paediatric heart surgeries.

Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and Mr Nikhil Kamath, Co-founder, Zerodha, throwing light on a most relevant topic – India’s potential of becoming a Superpower!

The complete proceeds of the event, INR 35,00,000/- was handed over to Mr O P Khanna, Chairman, Needy Heart Foundation, one of Bangalore’s leading NGOs, working for over 2 decades in helping deserving patients with cardiac surgeries and support. The Foundation is managed by a group of imminent and dedicated cardiac doctors and citizens in the city.
This event is a pioneering effort by Rotary Bangalore MidTown GenNext to resolve and commit towards supporting life saving surgeries of our next generation.
