Soy Soi invites diners to experience the rich flavours of Indonesia with the introduction of its Rijstaffel Lunch Experience, a traditional Dutch-Indonesian dining concept that celebrates the country’s diverse regional cuisine at Soy Soi, Kotturpuram, Chennai.
Meaning “rice table,” the Rijstaffel is a communal feast featuring an assortment of curries, sambals, satays, vegetables, proteins, and rice served together, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of flavours in one meal. More than just lunch, it is a celebration of Indonesian hospitality and shared dining.
At Soy Soi, the Rijstaffel is presented in both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian set menus, making it perfect for family gatherings, corporate lunches, and leisurely weekend meals. Guests can also combine both sets for a complete Indonesian dining experience.
The menu showcases authentic Indonesian favourites, including Jackfruit Rendang, where young jackfruit is slow-cooked in aromatic coconut spices; Rendang Kambing, featuring tender lamb simmered in rich rendang; Kari Sayur, a fragrant vegetable coconut curry; Ayam Kalio, chicken cooked in a golden Sumatran-style curry; Terong Balado, crispy aubergine tossed in spicy Padang chilli sambal; and Ikan Goreng Nyat Nyat, crispy fried fish finished with bold Indonesian spices.
