New Delhi, April 14: Brandworks Technologies Private Limited, India’s fastest-growing design-driven, R&D-led electronics manufacturing powerhouse, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MeitY Startup Hub (MSH). This strategic collaboration will aim to strengthen India’s deeptech and AI-driven electronics manufacturing ecosystem and focus on establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) that helps create and nurture the next generation of electronics startups, particularly in AI and deep tech, thereby accelerating innovation in the sector.

Brandworks Technologies Signs MoU with MeitY Startup Hub to Boost AI-Led Electronics Manufacturing Systems

Through this partnership, Brandworks and MSH will co-develop a national innovation platform designed to enable deeptech startups operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advanced electronics, and smart manufacturing systems. Backed by Brandworks’ strong operational and manufacturing capabilities, including two R&D centres, over 3,20,000 sq. ft. of infrastructure, 55 high-efficiency assembly lines, advanced in-house SMT and PCBA capabilities, this initiative is designed to bridge critical gaps in product development. By embedding design-for-manufacturability (DFM), rapid prototyping, and validation frameworks within the ecosystem, the collaboration aims to address systemic bottlenecks in hardware product development and accelerate time-to-market readiness for emerging ventures.

Startups onboarded through the platform will gain access to a comprehensive suite of capabilities, including advanced manufacturing infrastructure, dedicated R&D labs, product engineering support, and rigorous testing and certification environments. The collaboration is structured to facilitate seamless translation of early-stage concepts into commercially viable, market-ready products through structured innovation pipelines and industry-aligned mentorship.

Commenting on the development, Ishwar Kumhar, Founder & CEO, Brandworks Technologies, said,

“We’ve always believed that India has the talent to lead in electronics and AI, but what’s often missing is the ability to translate ideas into market-ready products at speed. This partnership is about solving that. By opening up our design, R&D, and manufacturing ecosystem, we aim to support startups in building and scaling real products, and in doing so, contribute to a stronger, more self-reliant electronics ecosystem. Our vision is to contribute to positioning India as a global leader in high-value, design-led electronics manufacturing.”

The proposed Centre of Excellence will anchor structured, cohort-based acceleration programs, designed to streamline innovation lifecycles and enable faster go-to-market execution through standardized commercialization pathways. Backed by Brandworks’ global R&D footprint, including its centres in Bengaluru and Taiwan, the collaboration will integrate international design expertise, advanced engineering practices, and cross-border innovation frameworks into the domestic ecosystem. This will enable startups to move efficiently across the product development continuum, from concept validation and prototyping to scaled manufacturing and market entry, within compressed timelines.

Additionally, the collaboration is expected to catalyze a robust pipeline of high-potential deeptech startups, enable accelerated commercialization cycles within defined time horizons, and foster global collaborations through technology transfer and strategic partnerships. The platform will also serve as a convergence point for industry, academia, and government stakeholders, driving applied research, co-innovation, and ecosystem-level value creation, while reinforcing India’s positioning as a global hub for AI-native electronics and advanced manufacturing systems.

This development builds on Brandworks Technologies’ recent participation at the India AI Summit 2026, where the company showcased its proprietary AI hardware stack and integrated LLM capabilities, alongside unveiling a new portfolio of AI-powered devices, including an AI Voice Recorder, AI Speaker, and AI Glasses. These advancements reflect the company’s continued strategic focus on AI-native hardware ecosystems and vertically integrated product innovation.
