Hyderabad, July 28 :P•TAL (Punjab Thathera Art Legacy) proudly announces the opening of its first flagship experiential store in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion journey. Located in Banjara Hills, the expansive 2,000 sq. ft. destination spans two thoughtfully designed levels, bringing together craft, culture, community, and conscious living under one roof.
Designed as more than a conventional retail space, the Hyderabad flagship invites visitors to experience the artistry, stories, and craftsmanship behind every handcrafted brass, copper, and kansa piece. Inspired by the philosophy of Shunya Mandal, the space blends contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship, creating an environment where India’s artisanal heritage comes alive through immersive installations, curated displays, and interactive experiences.
Welcoming visitors at the entrance is Dhara: The Flow of Heritage, a monumental suspended installation inspired by Hyderabad’s enduring relationship with food and tradition. At its heart hangs a larger-than-life brass patili, measuring over seven feet in diameter and weighing nearly 600 kilograms, symbolising the richness of India’s culinary legacy. Flowing from it are handcrafted brass vessels that trace the journey of raw metal transforming into timeless cookware a tribute to the UNESCO-recognised Thathera craft. Comprising nearly 4,000 individually handcrafted brass discs and representing over 3,600 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, the installation sets the tone for the journey through the store.
Further inside the ground floor stands Ananta: The Tree of Endless Craft, a striking sculptural installation celebrating P•TAL’s journey of innovation and enduring craftsmanship. Rising from a traditional copper vessel, the seven-foot-tall installation is composed of nearly 7,000 handcrafted brass discs and 41 suspended brass utensils, reflecting the patience, skill, and dedication of the artisan community. Inspired by the resilience of India’s craft traditions, Ananta symbolises P•TAL’s commitment to preserving heritage while continually reimagining it for contemporary homes.
The flagship showcases nearly 70 unique SKUs across cookware, drinkware, serveware, dinnerware, and gifting collections through thoughtfully curated displays that highlight the beauty, functionality, and science of handcrafted metalware. Visitors will also get the first look at the brand’s newly developed wedding gift boxes and baby hamper boxes, along with the opportunity to personalise select products, making every purchase even more meaningful.
The first floor extends the experience with dedicated spaces for bespoke gifting, brand storytelling, and curated product showcases. Designed to encourage deeper engagement with the craft, the space allows visitors to explore the history, cultural significance, and making of every handcrafted piece while discovering personalised gifting solutions for weddings, celebrations, and special occasions.
Speaking about the launch, Aditya Agarwal, Co-Founder of P•TAL, said:” After Delhi, Hyderabad felt like the most natural choice for P•TAL’s next store. While we were already seeing strong demand from the region, the decision was about much more than expansion. Hyderabad has always had a deep connection with food, hospitality, heritage, and craftsmanship. It’s a city that understands the value of the vessel just as much as what is cooked inside it, which makes it the perfect home for our handcrafted brass, copper, and kansa products. Our vision has always been to revive India’s craft traditions by making them relevant to modern lifestyles, and the response to our Delhi flagship gave us the confidence that people are looking for more meaningful connections with the products they bring into their homes. We hope this store becomes a place where people don’t just shop, but discover the stories, artistry, and traditions behind every handcrafted piece. Every new store we open also creates sustained opportunities for our artisan communities, ensuring these centuries-old crafts continue to thrive for generations to come.”
With the opening of its Hyderabad flagship, following the success of its Delhi store, P•TAL continues to redefine how India’s traditional metalcraft is presented in a contemporary retail environment. The new destination reflects the brand’s belief that the true value of craftsmanship lies not only in the finished product but also in the stories, people, and traditions behind it.
Today, P•TAL supports over 120 artisan families, serves a global community of more than 150,000 customers, and has helped increase artisan incomes by over 2,350%. Backed by an All Shark Deal on Shark Tank India and an expanding international presence, the brand remains committed to ensuring India’s centuries-old brass, copper, and kansa craftsmanship continues to flourish for generations to come.
