LOS ANGELES (Oct. 14, 2026) – Kimpton Everly Hotel, a 216-room contemporary retreat at the base of the Hollywood Hills, has expanded its food and beverage team with the appointments of Andrew Priest as Director of Food & Beverage and Matt Ranney as Executive Chef. The appointments support the hotel’s continued investment in destination dining, community-focused programming and elevated culinary experiences for both hotel guests and Los Angeles locals. Together, they will oversee Kimpton Everly’s food and beverage operations, including Jane Q, Written Hand Restaurant & Lobby Bar, The Scene rooftop pool and White Label Pizza, and lead new seasonal menus and programming across the property.

At Kimpton Everly, Ranney will oversee kitchen operations and create approachable, seasonally driven menus for the hotel’s dining outlets, social spaces and private events. He brings 20 years of culinary experience, with a focus on scratch-made food and menus that complement beverage programs. Most recently, he served as Executive Chef for Angel City Brewery and TrulyLA, where he opened the TrulyLA taproom and developed its food program and kitchen team. He also designed and built House Made, Angel City Brewery’s food truck, serving comfort food made to pair with the brewery’s beers.

Previously, Ranney was Executive Chef at The Slice and Pint in El Segundo and The Village Idiot in Los Angeles, where he led a whole-animal butchery and dry-aging program. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Pasadena, he also cooked at Daniel Boulud Brasserie at Wynn Las Vegas and served as sous chef at Fleur by Hubert Keller at Mandalay Bay.

“Andrew and Matt bring an ideal combination of hotel, restaurant and beverage expertise,” said Robert Boyd, General Manager of Kimpton Everly Hotel. “Andrew’s food and beverage leadership and Matt’s seasonal cooking will help strengthen Kimpton Everly’s position as a dining destination for both visitors and the local Hollywood community. We’re excited to welcome them as we head into a full season of culinary programming, events and guest experiences.”

“Kimpton Everly has built a strong reputation for creative hospitality and community connection,” said Matt Ranney, Executive Chef at Kimpton Everly Hotel. “I’m looking forward to building menus that reflect the energy, creativity and culture of Hollywood, for hotel guests and neighbors alike.”
