Feb 12: As part of its World Cancer Day initiatives, HCG Cancer Centre, Nagpur organised the ‘Colours of Hope’ Art Gallery at VR Mall, Nagpur on 8th February, aimed at spreading cancer awareness through art and community engagement.
The gallery showcased selected artworks from the Colours of Hope canvas painting competition, depicting themes of hope, resilience, and courage. Hosted at one of the city’s busiest malls, the exhibition attracted strong public footfall and enthusiastic interaction.
The event was graced by the presence of COO, Ms. Neeta Rajwar, who highlighted the importance of extending cancer awareness beyond hospital settings. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Neeta Rajwar, COO, HCG Cancer Centre, Nagpur, said,
“Cancer awareness becomes truly impactful when it reaches people in their everyday spaces. Through Colours of Hope, we aim to inspire early detection, encourage timely care, and remind the community that cancer can be fought with awareness, compassion, and collective support.”
Alongside the art exhibition, Nukkad Natak (street play) performances were organised to sensitise the public on cancer prevention and early detection. The initiative was further strengthened by interactive awareness sessions conducted by Dr. Vaibhav Sonwani, Dr. Mangesh Patil, Radiation Oncologists, Dr. Shantanu Pendse, Medical Oncologist, and Dr. Rajat Bajaj, Hematologist, who engaged with visitors on key aspects of cancer awareness and timely treatment.
The event also featured fun engagement games and inspiring cancer survivor stories, creating an emotional connect with the audience and reinforcing powerful messages of hope, strength, and resilience.
Through initiatives like Colours of Hope, HCG Cancer Centre, Nagpur continues its commitment to spreading awareness, inspiring hope, and connecting with the community beyond hospital walls.
