The Real Woman Awards, co-founded by Sheetal Bhilkar and Vijay Dalwani, has become a leading platform recognizing and celebrating the contributions of women entrepreneurs and professionals in India’s construction sector. Now in its seventh edition, the awards have grown into a nationwide movement, acknowledging women who are not only shaping skylines but also redefining the industry’s future.
On March 8, 2025, The Real Woman Awards will host its national-level awards in Mumbai, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This year, 26 exceptional women from across India will be honored for their achievements in construction and allied fields. The event will also host the third edition of the Real Woman Global Community’s `Celebrating Women in Construction Conclave’, themed “UP” – Upscaling, Upskilling, Uplifting, where industry leaders and experts will engage in discussions aimed at empowering women professionals with insights, skills, and opportunities for growth.
Backed by industry leaders, the awards have consistently received strong support from organizations committed to gender diversity and inclusion. The 2025 edition is supported by Polycab India Ltd, Ravel Electronics, Schneider Electric, Huliot, Apar Industries, Schell, and other partners dedicated to fostering change. Over the years, the event has also laid the foundation for The Real Woman Global Community for Women in Construction, a growing network that provides mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing opportunities for women in the sector.
