Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh Jan 16: Moradabad is set to emerge as a major cultural destination with the launch of Udeesha 2026 – The Moradabad Literature Festival, a five-day celebration of literature, art, music, and cultural dialogue scheduled from January 22 to 26, 2026.Bringing together some of India’s most respected writers, poets, journalists, performers, and cultural thinkers, Udeesha 2026 aims to place Moradabad firmly on the cultural map of western Uttar Pradesh while creating a platform for both nationally acclaimed voices and regional talent.

The festival will open on January 22 with special performances by acclaimed actor Ashutosh Rana and celebrated singer Sukhwinder Singh. Over the next four days, Udeesha 2026 will feature an impressive line-up including poet Wasim Barelvi, author Chetan Bhagat, journalist Saurabh Dwivedi, food historian Pushpesh Pant, poet Gauhar Raza, writer and screenwriter Akshat Gupta, television personality Ila Arun, poet-academic Kumar Vishwas, lyricist Alok Srivastava, and singer-actor Manoj Tiwari, among others.

Hosted across key venues such as Dushyant Manch, Ramganga Lawns, and Jaun Elia Zone, the festival programme will include literary discussions, poetry readings, a Grand Mushaira, Dastangoi, theatre, folk and classical music performances, Bhojpuri cultural sessions, workshops, and conversations on cinema, media, technology, spirituality, and Indian knowledge traditions.

With free and open access to most sessions, Udeesha 2026 invites students, readers, artists, and citizens to participate in conversations shaping India’s contemporary cultural and intellectual landscape, while celebrating Moradabad’s own literary heritage.
