February 04th, 2025: RizingTV recently hosted the MSME Vikas Utsav 2025, a transformative initiative designed to empower India’s small business ecosystem through knowledge-sharing and actionable insights. This landmark event was held in partnership with the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro & Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), which has been set up jointly by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to provide guarantee cover to collateral and/or third party guarantee free credit facilities extended by eligible Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) to MSEs.
With over 65 million MSMEs contributing approximately 30% to India’s GDP, it’s no secret that these enterprises are the backbone of the country’s economy. However, they also face significant challenges in accessing credit, navigating digital transformation, and building sustainable growth strategies. The MSME Vikas Utsav 2025 served as a platform to address these pressing issues, equipping MSMEs with the tools, strategies, and networks needed to thrive in a competitive landscape.
The decision to host this year’s event in Gurugram was deliberate. As of 2023, Gurugram witnessed the highest registration of approximately 85,000 MSMEs in Haryana, which also leads in employment within the sector, with an impressive 900,000 women engaged in the workforce. This city has become a dynamic hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, making it an ideal backdrop for the exchange of ideas and inspiration.
The event brought together prominent entrepreneurs and investors who shared their expertise and experiences in various sessions. Key speakers included Dhiraj Kumar, Deputy General Manager – CGTMSE; Agam Gupta, Principal – Seafund Ventures; Vijay Singh Rathore, Co-Founder and CEO – Soonicorn Ventures; Gitika Suri, Director of Patents – Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas; Himanshu Adlakha, Co-Founder – Winston Electronics; Tushar Suhalka, Founder – Regrip and others.
CGTMSE, a steadfast supporter of MSEs, played a pivotal role in making this event possible. Speaking about the collaboration, Dhiraj Kumar, Deputy General Manager, CGTMSE, remarked: “At CGTMSE, we are committed to addressing the $530 billion credit gap faced by MSMEs in India. By partnering with RizingTV for the MSME Vikas Utsav, we aim to provide financial support, insights, and inspiration that will empower these businesses to reach new heights. It is particularly significant for us as CGTMSE celebrates its 25th year, marking an incredible milestone of crossing 1 crore guarantees. Events like these are vital in creating a robust support system for entrepreneurs who are driving India’s growth story.”
Reflecting on the impact of the MSME Vikas Utsav, Shrija Agrawal, Founder of RizingTV, said: “RizingTV has always been about uplifting and celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of India. Through initiatives like the MSME Vikas Utsav, we aim to create opportunities for small businesses to learn, connect, and grow. Partnering with CGTMSE adds immense value to our efforts, ensuring we can provide not just guidance, but also practical solutions to the challenges these businesses face. Our mission is to create a thriving ecosystem for MSEs, because when they succeed, India succeeds.”
