Cathay is proud to have been recognised with multiple accolades in the World’s Best Airlines for 2026 awards organised by AirlineRatings, a global airline safety and product rating organisation. Cathay Pacific has been named second in the World’s Best Full-Service Airlines category, in addition to winning the World’s Best Business Class for its Aria Suite cabins and the World’s Best Airline-Branded Lounges.
Meanwhile, Cathay Cargo has been awarded the World’s Best Airline-Branded Cargo Operations, and HK Express has been named the World’s Best Low-Cost Carrier.
Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam said: “We are honoured to receive these recognitions, which serve as a testament to the hard work and professionalism of our teams across Cathay. From premium travel, cargo to low‑cost travel, these accolades motivate us to keep innovating and raising the bar. As we celebrate ‘80 Years Together’, we thank our customers for their continued support and remain firmly focused on our vision of becoming their most loved service brand.”
Looking ahead, Cathay continues to elevate the customer experience and further strengthen Hong Kong’s status as a world‑leading international aviation hub, underpinned by its investment of well over HK$100 billion across its fleet, inflight and ground products, and digital innovation.
These latest accolades from AirlineRatings complement other recognitions received by the Cathay Group, including Cathay Pacific being ranked among the world’s top three airlines by Skytrax and its Economy class and inflight entertainment being named the world’s best last year. In 2025, Cathay Cargo was named the world’s best cargo operator by Air Transport World (ATW) and HK Express was named among the top three world’s most improved airlines by Skytrax.
