National, March 27: ACT, an Indian venture philanthropy platform, launched UnHerd today as a podcast series that intends to uncover the unheard stories of change-makers who are challenging conventional principles to disrupt India’s social impact landscape.

With a diverse set of guests that’ll include social entrepreneurs, venture philanthropists as well as sector experts, UnHerd will dive into real-world conversations on what they’ve experienced and learned about changing the status quo.

The inaugural episode of UnHerd features Suhas Dixit, a chemist turned clean-tech entrepreneur and the founder of APChemi, who is on a mission to reduce India’s fossil fuel demand by enabling plastic circularity. In conversation with Alankrita Khera (Director, ACT), Suhas dives into his inspiration for building APChemi and his insights on the clean-tech industry, the tough lessons he has garnered along the way as well as his perspective for other entrepreneurs building in this space. “The way I look at entrepreneurship is that it’s your decision to solve problems – the problems that have not yet been solved,” he remarks as a part of the conversation.

The first season on UnHerd will feature 10 episodes and hopes to ignite conversations on the idea of creating social impact at scale through the stories of individuals who are doing so in unconventional ways.
